ALIX DIACONIS
is an Emmy-nominated and Telly-award winning freelance video editor, videographer, and director based in New York. Alix is best known for her documentary editing including BEACH COTTAGE CHRONICLES on HBO and Magnolia Network, THE DEAL WITH ALEX RODRIGUEZ on Bloomberg, and documentary and commercial videos for ESPN, Vox Media, Atlas Obscura, Honey Pot, YouTube, and BRIC. She has also edited documentary work for Oscar-nominated and Cannes-winning directors. In 2023, she received two Webby Awards for her video work at Vox Media.
In 2018, ARE YOU GLAD I’M HERE, a feature film edited by Alix, won the Brooklyn Film Festival Audience Award and screened in the U.S., Lebanon, and London.
Alix graduated from Bard College with a degree in Film while working as a 35mm film projectionist. She attributes her love of filmmaking to her local public access station, where she got her start.
